Pameran Poskad is a group exhibition of postcard sized artworks that is open to anyone and everyone that would like to participate. The participants come from
a variety of backgrounds. Some are highly established and internationally recognized professional artists; others are students, engineers, house wives
and even little children.

To participate, all you need to do is complete an application form and pay an entry fee of SGD $35. Participants can submit up to 10 artworks with the only restriction being that it must fit into the provided 12 x 18 cm sleeve. The artists can set their own price and receive 100% of the sales revenue. As a result of this freedom, we receive an extraordinary range of work from drawings, sculpture, ceramics, fabric arts, photography to films on DVD and hand made books.

This exhibition is an attempt to encourage creative production from amateur artists and provide them an exhibition space. The size restriction is also a deliberate choice to keep the artworks small, thereby limiting the price range allowing the everyday consumer to purchase an original piece of art.

Although the majority of artists exhibited in past years were largely unknown, Pameran Poskad gave them the opportunity to show alongside internationally renowned contemporary artists. Relying on the popularity and recognition of these established artists Pameran Poskad is able to attract Singapore’s traditional art patrons, gallerists and writers. This introduced the Singapore art community to a new crop of emerging talent and gained valuable exposure for these hitherto unknown artists.
